About us
AthensLive is a hybrid journalism organization at the intersection of news, technology, and democracy. Established in 2016, it launched with a groundbreaking crowdfunding campaign, drawing support from over 500 members across 30 countries. As a nonpartisan, nonprofit initiative, AthensLive was created to address the growing need for community powered journalism and innovation and to amplify Greek narratives on a global stage. Its mission is to innovate at the intersection of journalism, technology, and democracy, empowering and benefiting Greeks worldwide.
